I thought it would be fun to have a guest blogger on the Peek blog, so I’ve asked one of my favorite make-up artists, Patricia Kozack of Makeup by Tricia, to share some of the sexy make-up trends for fall. Patricia has been making my clients happy with gorgeous make-up since I first started offering boudoir portraits. I photographed her wedding a couple of years ago and we really become great friends. It’s been so fun working with her and watching her business grow as well! Thanks for all you do Patricia!

Here is her article on sexy make-up trends for fall:
Fall has quickly approached and so have the new makeup trends. Gone are the days of the bronzy beach look and in with deep beautiful jewel toned and metallic colors. You can update your look with just a few key items that will take you into the fall and winter months.
First and foremost, when starting a look, you must have a fresh face.
For the face, start off with a base, your foundation. There is no need for a heavy foundation. Use a light, dewy formula. When applying use a foundation brush, or even a sponge. I am not a huge fan of sponges, but if you wet the sponge a little bit and squeeze out all the water, you can achieve a more airbrushed look.
For your lips, make sure you exfoliate on a weekly basis. The winter months, no matter where you live, can be harsh on lips. Winter tends to be the driest months, so after exfoliating, make sure you apply a lip moisturizer to keep the them soft.
Incorporate some of these trends for a true fall look:
Eyes:
Dramatic eyes are back in a big way! Smokey, intense and bold says it all! Greys, blacks, metallics and purples are the colors of the season. Pair this look with a nude/pale lip and you are set for a night out. You could transform this into a day look by toning down the intensity of all the eyeshadows used. This look is very intense, but sexy, so keep it for a night out with the girls!!
Lips:
Hot bold colors are in for fall. Red lips, always a classic, are joined by rich berry and pink shades. Think eighties hot pink lips! For this look, you will have to wear a more neutral eye to avoid clashing of the colors.
Cheeks:
Rosy cheeks always look beautiful on women, but this fall, they are here in a big way. Adding pink to cheeks add a soft, feminine glow to any look.
Face:
Gone are the times of cakey foundations. Try sheer foundation or matte skin for winter. Let your natural skin show through.
Try these looks on yourself or friends and you will be set for the fall and winter months.
